  • Consultations by appointment only.

    Appointments can be booked for a standard (15 minute) or double (30 minute).

    A long appointment is required if you have more than one issue to discuss, if you have a single but complex issue, you're a new patient or if you are wanting to discuss pregnancy or mental health.

    Appropriate medical guidelines for your safety and for Medico-legal purposes are followed by all providers. This means the length of the consultation will be determined by the provider based around clinical requirements.

    Coogee Beach Doctors’ reception team will be able to assist if you’re unsure of how long your consultation should be booked for.

    All payments are to be made at the time of the consultation.

    For most consultations we are able to process your instant Medicare rebate onto a savings or cheque account (we are unable to process rebates onto a credit card).

  • Your doctor requests that all clinical matters require a scheduled consultation.

    This includes requests for repeat prescriptions and referrals, insurance or medical paperwork as well as discussing and obtaining a copy of your results.

    Telephone consultations may be offered by your doctor to assist with ease and access to these services.

    Please note it may be more appropriate to attend in person for certain medical care.

    • Kids/Discount Fee* - $90

    Long Consultation

    • Private Fee - $185

    • Kids/Discount Fee* - $150

    Extended Consultation

    • Private Fee - $275

    • Kids/Discount Fee* - $220

    *Children under the age of 5years will be charged at the discount rate.

    The above schedule is a general guide for fees charged by GPs consulting from Coogee Beach Doctors.

    Fees are charged based on the Medicare Benefit Scheme and will be determined by the doctor after the consultation has concluded.

    Subject to the individuals doctors billing policy.

    Procedures, Mental Health Treatment Plans & Reviews are subject to an different fees.

    Dr Finger is a Non-VR GP, her Medicare rebate is based on OMP schedule available through the MBS online.

  • Rescheduling your appointment or failing to attend your appointment will incur a fee payable to your doctor/provider.

    At least 1 hour notice is required to avoid a fee.

    Fees charged will be determined by your doctor/provider. Fees will start from $40 per 15min appointment scheduled.

    Repeatedly missing, changing or cancelling your appointments will will incur the full consultation fee. (No Medicare rebate will be applicable).

    All fees must be paid prior to booking your next appointment.

    Reception will implement this policy at the discretion of the provider.

    We conduct a survey every 3 years to continuously improve our services and enhance experiences for GPs and their patients at Coogee Beach Doctors. 

    This survey aims to capture the insights and experiences at Coogee Beach Doctors, shedding light on both our successes and areas for improvement.

    What we are doing well:

    1. Interpersonal Skills of the Clinician:

    • Greater than 90% of responses were very good or excellent. 

    • It is important to us that you are treated with respect and are given time to talk about things that are important to you. We also believe in making sure you know as much about your condition as you wish. 

    1. Communication Skills of the Clinician:

    • Greater than 90% of responses were very good or excellent. Acknowledging that you play an important role in making your own healthcare decisions, we listened to what you have to say and involve you in those decisions. 

    1. Experience with Reception Staff;

    • Greater than 80% of responses were very good or excellent. Our commitment to giving you a welcoming experience especially as you arrive is very important. Our staff take the time to consider your individual needs when booking and are always courteous and polite. 

    What we can do better:

    We acknowledge that there are areas that we can improve your experience:

    1. Being able to see your doctor or another when you needed urgent care:

    • Only 60% of responses indicated very good or excellent. We know it's important for patients to access care when they are unwell. Unfortunately there are circumstances when this is unable to occur but this provides us with an opportunity to improve our systems.  

    1. Being able to see your doctor:

    • Only 60% of responses indicated very good or excellent. Patients having access to their own doctor is a critical aspect of healthcare. We are dedicated to working with your doctor to make this easier for you. 

    1. Getting an appointment for a time that suited you:

    • Only 70% of responses indicated very good or excellent. Appointment scheduling available for your convenience is a significant aspect for you accessing care.

    We are grateful for the valuable feedback provided by you. We are committed to improving your experience with your GP and Coogee Beach Doctors. We have additional doctors consulting from our rooms, including earlier and later appointments. We have worked with your GP to amend their schedules in allowing more appointments available on the day for unwell patients requiring care and allowing patients to book with their GP when required. 


  • GPs and other providers offering consultancy services from Coogee Beach Doctors rooms in association with the practice have been accredited under AGPAL in reference to RACGP standards.

  • Your medical record is confidential.

    The practice maintains the security of your personal health information at all times and ensure that this information is only available to authorised persons.

  • We recognise the dependence and ease of electronic communication via email in society but also acknowledges the limitations in security when dealing with confidential documents and material in healthcare.

  • Your GP is committed to safeguarding their patients' health & safety. They continue to ask patients with respiratory symptoms to do at RAT test before a face-to-face appointment and wear a masks while in the practice.

    Your GP and the practice will continue to follow the latest public health advice.
